The hand-piece produces a tiny plasma flash, just like mini lightening. This creates tiny controlled micro wounds which minimise the skin in its immediate vicinity. This reduces the excess skin, tightening the treated are. A series of tiny brown spots are created and strategically placed to obtain the desired result for the excess skin. The skin around the spot tightens pulling the cells closer together. It’s the only non surgical treatment to successfully reduce the excess skin instantly, with no damage to surrounding tissue or deeper skin layers. This is an integral part of the success of this treatment.

Yes. Anyone interested in a Plasma procedure is required to have face-to-face consultation. This is because not everyone is a suitable candidate for plasma. A thorough assessment will ensure we both agree it is the right treatment option for you. Multiple factors affect the ageing process and every person and treatment area is different, therefore needs to be determined individually. Consultations are 30 minutes, forms will also need to be completed.

The skin must be prepped for treatment for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your scheduled treatment. We will talk you through this at your consultation and have products available in clinic to prepare your skin.  We suggest not to apply any cosmetics before the procedure, especially mascara if you are having an eye treatment. You will need to obtain your own Numbing Cream, this will be discussed at your consultation. If anything changes between your consultation day and your procedure day please inform your technician. This includes medications, surgeries and of your think you may be pregnant.

Plasma clients report minimal to no pain or discomfort during treatment when the numbing cream is applied. Immediately after the treatment the skin will be reddened and lightly swollen, which will can last up to 3 days, although slight redness may remain for up to 2-3 weeks. It important to note that upper eye lids will have swelling for approx. 3-4 days so please bear this in mind when planning your treatment. The procedure will cause carbon crusts to form on the skin. Crusts must not be touched and allowed to dislodge by themselves, this can take up to 10 days. However you are able to use a mineral makeup after 48hours to camouflage them. To minimise complications you will be informed on proper aftercare following the procedure.

Most clients will notice the effect of the procedure immediately. However, you may experience some swelling post treatment and full results are visible after 12 weeks. In some cases clients may need more than one treatment. This depends on treatment area and skin condition as well as client’s expectations. Follow up treatments can be performed in the same area 8 - 12 weeks apart.

Results take a full 3 months to truly come through and then the rejuvenation achieved lasts as long as surgery would. This can be several years and depending on the individuals environmental factors and personal skincare regime. Active skincare is non negotiable pre-treatment to prepare and strengthen the skin and post- treatment to maintain long lasting results.

Most clients notice amazing lifting & tightening after just 1 plasma pen session, however for areas with more sun damage, wrinkles, sagging and loss of elasticity 2 or 3 treatments may be needed to achieve full rejuvenation.

Mineral foundation may be applied on top of the aftercare cream after 48hours only. During the first 48 hours only the aftercare cream is applied and water must be avoided on the treated area.
